Modern Archive

In addition to the Archivio storico, which collects papers of the Accademia from its foundation, in recent years the independent section of the Archivio moderno has been formed. It hosts the donated or purchased collections of documents (letters, manuscripts, photographs, miscellany) by linguists, philologists and men of letters with various roles in the Accademia della Crusca. Thanks to the Archivio moderno - which constitutes a real research centre specialized in the history of linguistics, philology and the studies of the history of Italian - it is possible to investigate landmarks of XX century studies.

All the archive data processed until today are accesible through the Digital Archive. Further material is currently under processing.
