Centre for the Study of Italian Lexicography

The Centre for the Study of Italian Lexicography was founded in 1969 and started its activities in 1981 under the direction of d'Arco Silvio Avalle; it represents one of the branches of scientific activity of the Accademia and has the purpose of promoting studies on the Italian lexicon and the compilation of lexicographic works. The Centre, directed at present by Luca Serianni, is responsible for the publication of a series of volumes as well as the scientific periodical "Studi di lessicografia italiana" (Studies in Italian lexicography).
